At the end of Love Awakens, Mu Zhiqing and Ji Rufeng transmigrate after attending the peach wine uncorking ceremony in Taoli Village and heading home together. When they wake up again, they discover they have transmigrated into the world of Three Daughters of the Xia Family.
Ji Rufeng played Yan Liheng in Three Daughters of the Xia Family. He doesn't know the entire plot, so he has about half the script in hand. As it happens, Zhiqing watched the show because Rufeng was in it. She thought Xia Youshan was a lawless criminal, and the plot was melodramatic. If it hadn't been for Rufeng, she never would have watched it. Still, she has a general idea of how the story goes.
After watching the show, Zhiqing decided that Yan Liheng, played by Rufeng, was the only decent man in the whole cast. The other male characters seemed like jerks, yet they were popular. Meanwhile, nobody liked Rufeng's Yan Liheng. Zhiqing couldn't help thinking that the girls in this show hadn't woken up from their love-induced stupor!
Now Ji Rufeng and Mu Zhiqing have transmigrated into this world together. Ji Rufeng has transmigrated into Yan Liheng, while Mu Zhiqing has transmigrated into the lawless criminal who left the deepest impression on her, Xia Youshan.
What amusing things will happen now that Zhiqing and Rufeng have arrived?
One thing's for sure: Ji Rufeng will never take the wrong Mu Zhiqing's hand!
And maybe their arrival will help resolve a lot of problems, too. Who knows?
P.S. After Mu Zhiqing and Ji Rufeng absorb their memories, their personalities will change somewhat, since different environments shape different personalities! Zhiqing's Xia Youshan is adorable around her loved ones, but remains the decisive Director Mu in front of strangers. Rufeng's Yan Liheng will be a little more mature.
