Thinking of You, Yet Only Two Springs Have Passed

"I've always liked you, from back then until now." The girl, whom I'd buried in my memories for nearly ten years, said those words. Seeing her message felt like discovering a childhood treasure. She was still radiant, while I was like stale, moldy bread. The problem between us seemed like a river: she was on one bank, and I was on the far shore. We simply looked at each other. We both took a step forward, but I didn't know whether the rushing river could keep us apart.
