Meeting Han Xin, the Immortal of War

[Transmigration + Sweet Romance, 1v1 + History + Light Fantasy]

In a dream by the River of Oblivion, he turned around, holding a bright lantern. His white robes fluttered, flecked with crimson. He smiled warmly as he spoke, like an immortal descended from heaven.

During the Western Han, a renowned general was celebrated in song.

The Records of the Grand Historian judged him thus: “Xiao He determined his success and failure; two women determined his life and death.” It hailed him as a peerless hero.

He was a mighty founding hero of the Han, so accomplished that he eclipsed his sovereign, and yet Liu Bang regarded him as a thorn in his side. He spent half his life plotting and expanding Han territory, only to be killed through the schemes of Empress Lü and Xiao He, dying tragically beneath a bell.

No one knew that he had once loved a woman deeply. For her, he asked the way and killed a woodcutter, sang the Song Besieged on All Sides, and drove his dear friend to his death.

The River of Oblivion was desolate. Beside the river, where purple thorn trees whispered softly, lonely Wen Yu thought of sending a kite to her little Yuanyang. Just once would be enough.

(This is a transmigration story and may differ from official history. Please don't nitpick.)
