The Eldest Senior Sister Has Decided to Lie Flat

[No CP | Female Lead's Growth | Strong Heroine]

As the senior disciple of Mingyue Sword Sect, the second-to-last-ranked sword sect on the Eastern Continent, Xu Zhiyue has been taught one thing ever since Sect Master Gu Nanfeng brought her home at the age of nine: guide her junior disciples and work hard to restore the sect to glory.

For this purpose, she spends her days busy with sect affairs and her nights training without a moment's rest.

Her hard work pays off.

Under Xu Zhiyue's leadership, the disciples' strength improves significantly. At just seventeen, she reaches Foundation Establishment, breaking a century-long streak in which no Mingyue Sword Sect disciple had ever made the Qingyun Rankings.

One day, on Sect Master Gu Nanfeng's orders, Xu Zhiyue leads the inner disciples of the Three Condensation Realm to train on the outskirts of the Eastern Alliance Forest. They unexpectedly encounter a spirit-beast rampage unseen in a century.

To cover the inner disciples' retreat, she fights the spirit beasts with everything she has, then falls off a cliff after being gravely wounded.

On the high platform in Mingyue Sword Sect's Ancestral Hall, the flame of Xu Zhiyue's soul lamp grows fainter and fainter, until it finally goes out.

Fortunately, a tabby cat appears out of nowhere. She forms a blood pact with it and manages to cling to life.

Given another chance at life, Xu Zhiyue decides to be her own master!
