Given the hereditary nature of the profession, everyone expected Damien - the child of two high-level adventurers - to gain his own high-level combat profession. However, expectations were betrayed when Damien found himself saddled with the lowest level of the craft profession: [Novice Tailor].
Nearly crippled compared to those of better class, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in aristocratic intrigues and simply hones his rank in peace while wondering why the usual rules of succession are broken. Is it his desire to excel through his own efforts, or is it an unearned blessing from the gods? Were the Five offended by his views on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it had something to do with the alien voices that intruded into his ritual?
A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but its price is never stated.
