Battle Through the Heavens: Beginning with the Green Lotus Core Flame

No System + Heavenly Flames + Apocalypse

In 2085, Dou Qi, which had existed only in novels, descended upon Blue Star and transformed the world into paradise. Dou Qi replaced depleted energy sources, and the Third World War came to an unspoken end in the second year after its arrival. The extreme weather brought on by Dou Qi vanished, the land no longer needed fertilizer, and it became as fertile as the Promised Land of legend. Even the diseases humanity had long struggled to overcome disappeared after Dou Qi arrived. That year, the mortal world was paradise.

It seemed humanity had finally been remembered by the gods they had forgotten, and an age of peace and prosperity had arrived... or had it?

All of this was merely a brief calm before the storm.

Dou Qi had not descended. It had fled.

In the darkness that had devoured even the Nihility Devouring Flame, the Dou Qi Continent had long since fallen. The homeland of the Flame Emperor had become a refuge. Under the command of an apocalypse-era Dou Di, the survivors brought the entire continent's Dou Qi and Heavenly Flames through a planar passage to Blue Star.

Perhaps they could find a way to resist that nameless darkness here.

During the journey between planes, Dou Qi spread across all of Blue Star. The remaining twenty-two Heavenly Flames had fled along with it, and among them, the Green Lotus Core Flame mistook a boy named Yan Xiao for its former master.

From then on, going to school, starting a family, and building a career were out of the question for Yan Xiao. There was a Heavenly Flame inside him, and anything, or anyone, would be burned to ashes by it.

Unfortunately, when the Green Lotus Core Flame burrowed into Yan Xiao's body, he was taking an exam. It set his comprehensive arts paper ablaze and reduced it to ashes.
