Seven years ago, Gu Xiyi was the legitimate daughter of Gu Mingwu, a great general of Northern Qi, the newlywed wife of the Third Prince Xiao Changli, and a pawn used by the Second Prince Xiao Changling to bring down Xiao Changli.
She personally slipped the poison Feiyun Xianlei into Xiao Changli’s tea, then stole his father’s tiger tally.
Ten days later, part of the Gu family army guarding the southern frontier rebelled without warning. Xiao Changli, stationed there, died amid the mutinous troops, and his body was never found.
Full of hope, Gu Xiyi went to Xiao Changling, expecting him to keep his promise and marry her. Instead, she learned that the Gu family had been accused of treason and sentenced to execution in its entirety.
It was only when Xiao Changling threw her father Gu Mingwu’s head at her feet that Gu Xiyi realized she was nothing more than a tool for this man’s struggle for the throne.
She was the daughter of Northern Qi’s great general, a true warrior of the Gu family, skilled with the spear and unmatched in riding and archery.
She had only put away her armor, taken up needlework, and pretended to be delicate and meek to suit Xiao Changling’s tastes.
So that day, Gu Xiyi finally reclaimed the bold and brilliant nature of the Gu family’s legitimate daughter.
With her spear in hand, she fought from the imperial city to the great river running through the capital, until Xiao Changling shot an arrow through her heart and she fell into the raging Li River.
Seven years later, Gu Xiyi rose from the ashes like a phoenix and returned to court. Now a beauty with a thousand faces, she maneuvers through the court and calculates every move, all to win justice for her murdered family and restore everything to the person she once betrayed.
When the dust finally settles, she looks back and realizes that the man who loved her most has been by her side all along.
Give yourself a five star and work hard to write every chapter
It's really beautiful and becomes more exciting as you go to the back. I highly recommend putting it on your bookshelf.
I read 40 chapters in one go and put the rest on my bookshelf to read slowly. It's a very interesting book and I highly recommend it.
