Chronicles of the Tang Dynasty Murder Squad

The Great Tang Case Files is a detective adventure set in the Tang dynasty, with a light comedic touch. The novel is divided into five stories: Chasing Power in Chang'an, Claiming the Sui Palace, Divine Sword Manor, The Imperial Jade Seal, and The Prince of the Wasteland. The protagonist, Sikong Hu, placed third in the imperial examinations. Though Chancellor Li Linfu had tampered with the results and stolen the title that should have been his, Sikong Hu still made a name for himself across the land with his uncanny talent for solving cases. The heroic Xiang Longcheng is a chubby fellow whom others look down on, but his formidable martial arts skills make him the perfect partner for Sikong Hu. Together, the two solve a series of strange cases involving the fate of the realm, eventually becoming legendary figures of the Great Tang dynasty.
