Aiguo, a burned-out office worker, can’t stomach her boss’s empty promises or keep taking the blame for her superior’s screw-ups. After five years on the job, she resolutely decides to quit. The global economy has been turbulent over the past two years, and after the little island nation to the east began dumping nuclear wastewater, the environment took a sharp turn for the worse. She still has some savings. Going back to her hometown to grow vegetables, raise a few chickens and ducks, and take a few years to rest should be no problem. She has just returned to the little courtyard her parents left her in the countryside and is getting ready to open a farmstay and enjoy a leisurely life, when a cloud of pink mist appears in the third-floor study. An unreliable System sends her to a primitive world of beastfolk. System: “How am I unreliable? I just ran out of energy and went into hibernation. Didn’t I send you back later, give you time to prepare supplies, and help you get in touch with the national leaders?” Aiguo: “Right, right, you’re absolutely right.” The System says it can send her to countless random worlds: beastfolk worlds, interstellar worlds, cultivation worlds, apocalyptic worlds, wuxia worlds... For the sake of her own life, Aiguo turns around and hands the System over to the state. To her surprise, after handing it over, she ends up with a job that provides six types of insurance and two housing funds...
