The Concubine's Rise in Dream of the Red Chamber

Su Yating, the head of a modern hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, is mistakenly taken by Black Impermanence into Dream of the Red Chamber. She is a scholar's daughter, and her wealthy mother is as fierce as they come.

As soon as she arrives, she is framed and made Lin Ruhai's concubine, then given a drug to make her barren. With a magical treasure at her side, she escapes her predicament, amasses a fortune, and marries into the Lin family.

The Lianghuai salt case draws her in, and Su Yating realizes how terrifying the Four Great Families are. While pregnant, she uncovers the person behind it, as Lin Ruhai becomes deeply embroiled in the salt scandal.

In the inner residence, she wins Lin Ruhai over and treats the principal wife with respect. She manages the household, gives birth to a healthy second son, Lin Jinyu, and saves the frail eldest son and the principal wife.

Peace reigns within the household, while she handles troubles from both within and without. Lin Ruhai could hardly be more content, but for all his precautions, he fails to guard against his own in-laws. Jia Min has a difficult labor and gives birth to Daiyu, while the eldest son, Lin Qiongyu, tragically dies young.

Years later, Jia Min, heartbroken, entrusts her child to Su Yating before dying. Thanks to Su Xingchen, the Su family rises in status and becomes immensely wealthy. After being made the principal wife, Su Yating takes Daiyu back and plunges into the Jia household's affairs. She saves Yingchun and supports Jia Lan, then berates Old Madam Jia and Jia Baoyu. When the Jia family falls, Xifeng turns to her for help, and Granny Liu searches for Qiaojie.

But she's only a vulnerable young woman from another world. Is it really so easy to turn the tide and change other people's fates?

And what about love? The young woman later says she wants to become a god.
