HP: Is the Chosen One Still a Little Green-Eyed Black Cat Today?

Things started going wrong on the first day of third year, when Hogwarts became infected with a terrifying virus.

At first, it struck Slytherin’s two most obnoxious Potions Class professors and that Malfoy boy. Then it spread throughout the whole school.

I call this virus the “Green-Eyed Kitten Filter.” Symptoms include looking at Harry Potter with what seems to be an indulgent expression and thinking he’s a delicate little kitten with no bones. Every now and then, someone will pin Harry Potter against the wall and say, “You little stray, I’ll be waiting for you in the xx classroom tonight.”

The plague swept through all of Hogwarts (maybe even beyond the school, who knows?). The only ones who escaped were me and the Chosen One, otherwise known as the green-eyed kitten himself.

This diary is my record of the battle against the epidemic that Potter and I fought together.

September 27, 1993.

“Zhang, could you stop writing your diary next to me and reading it aloud? I don’t want to remember any of that!”

“Fine, but it took me ages to find this spot, so I’ll just have to find another way to make you leave. Hey, Fred! Harry says he wants to go to the Astronomy Tower with you and get up to some mischief!”

And that’s how the everyday story of two sane people helping each other out in a school full of lunatics began.

Before you read: This may make your toes curl with secondhand embarrassment. Along with kitten-boy fiction, there’s also domineering-CEO fiction and all sorts of other stuff. If it’s not for you, feel free to leave. I’m just writing for fun.

The female lead is a Hogwarts native and the younger cousin of Cho Chang. Voldemort’s defeat is handled in a dramatic fashion.
