Never to Sleep

Liu Yuanhuai had become estranged from this bizarre and bewildering world.

As a loner plagued by insomnia, he could never tell fantasy from reality.

Huh? Who's knocking on the door in the middle of the night now?

The ticking, the calls, the singing that never stops beside his ear.

Dogs barking at people, cats crying out to spirits, someone jumping rope downstairs.

A child weeping, an old man cursing, the landlord complaining that the renovations are taking too long.

Look left, look right. No one's here, so I'll close the door.

Coworkers who don't exist, girls I've never met, an empty desk nobody cares about, a supermarket where everything is always free.

And... myself, whom I can't see.

What's fake, and where can I find what's real?

Whenever something happens, you blame ghosts. I say you're all ghosts!
