Classroom of the Elite: Welcome to the Paradise of Meritocracy

The story is set in an adapted version of Classroom of the Elite. The protagonist never transmigrates into a book and has no advance knowledge of how the plot will unfold. The original story's setting will also be substantially revised. Rather than the original's trade-school brawl, I'm planning to build a complex and intricate world.

The setting is a Japan ruled by several zaibatsu. Advanced Nurturing High School was founded decades ago, after the zaibatsu monopolized power in Japan. Its purpose was to gain substantial control over the country's education sector. After the pilot program succeeded, branch campuses were established throughout Japan, while the main campus was set up in the capital, Tokyo. With the major zaibatsu controlling public opinion, there is virtually no negative coverage of the school in society. People from all walks of life call it “Paradise.” On the surface, Paradise is a place where the zaibatsu raise their own children, but its true purpose is even more shocking.

Compared with the original story, the fundamental goal of the protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, has changed. He now wants to escape being used as a tool by those at the top and grow into someone who stands above the zaibatsu, someone even more powerful than they are. His abilities are also stronger than those demonstrated in the original, and more focused. The change in his goal and his experiences in the White Room have made him sharp and reserved, yet domineering and arrogant, with a more aggressive streak.
