Civilizations have always interacted in many different ways, and the Long Night civilization and Earth civilization were no exception. At first, humanity had no hostility toward the Long Night civilization. But after repeated provocations, humanity finally declared war.
That year, the Long Night civilization launched the Abyss, a planetary probe, toward the Solar System. This regular 24-cell polytope enclosed the Solar System in four-dimensional space, cutting humanity off from the outside world and trapping it there forever. Their plan seemed foolproof, but they had underestimated humanity. Three hundred years later, humanity broke through every barrier and exploited a command error by a Long Night commander to wipe out the bulk of the Long Night fleet and strike directly at the Long Night civilization.
But in the end, humanity overlooked one thing: the Solar System was steadily falling toward Sagittarius A and was eventually torn apart. The captain of the Eternal became the last human alive. Both humanity and the Long Night civilization were doomed to perish.
