If One Day I Ascend the Throne, I’ll Banish the World’s Sorrows for All Time

The Eastern Empress, posthumously titled Emperor Wenwu Dexian Shengxiao, lived to the age of 168 and bore the temple name Wuzong.

Posterity hailed her as a living bodhisattva, a goddess of war who brought peace to the empire, and a sage sovereign who worked for the welfare of all the people.

She championed clean government and led by example, living frugally and practicing thrift.

She trained her armies, brought order to the realm, expanded its borders, and made her power felt across the world. All nations came to pay tribute, and she was called the Heavenly Khan and the common sovereign of all peoples.
