Synopsis

[Sci-fi + apocalypse (wasteland) + a wildly imaginative premise + soft sci-fi (a twisting, gripping plot)] [No invincible protagonist, no brainless characters, not a wish-fulfillment story, not hard sci-fi. Read at your own discretion.]

In 2042, a mysterious blue light triggers a global catastrophe!

The world ends, the land lies barren?

Humanity moves straight to the ocean! A new era begins: the Cataclysm Era!

You might ask, why not move into space? Let's skip that tired old trope. After all, humanity has explored only 5% of the ocean, compared with just 1% of the universe! The author takes a fresh, unconventional approach. So what exactly is hidden in the remaining 95%?

After a series of power struggles, the protagonist, Xiao Jun, finally earns the right to enter the submarine city Hot Wind. He battles mutated creatures of all ranks, from Tsunami-class to Raging Tide-class, and gradually uncovers clues to saving Earth. At last, the scattered pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Humanity sets foot on its native soil once more and returns home.

The mystery of the blue light is finally solved, and the answer points to... outer space!

Three-Body Stories! Three-Body Stories! Three-Body Stories! The Three-Body Animation Made Me Furious

Looking for books like "The Three-Body Problem: I'm Really Not a Wallfacer". Give me some Three-Body stories. The heavily altered versions are just awful, and I couldn't get through the Three-Body animation, so give me some Three-Body novels instead. <(`^´)>

Sci-Fi Novels With Prose Like Liu Cixin's

I especially love Liu Cixin’s science fiction. His stories feel completely fresh to me. I’m not so keen on sci-fi about love between humans and AI, or stories focused on human emotions and introspection against a sci-fi backdrop. I’m hoping to find some hard sci-fi.
