It all began with the "Skyfall"!
The "Fei's Horn" that blot out the sky and cover the earth, the sudden "Falling Prophecy," and the endlessly multiplying... "Wild Ghosts."
And so, myth began to overlap with reality...
The "Jorogumo," with a woman's head and a spider's body; the "Zhuyin," with a demon's face and a serpent's body; the boundless "Bahui"; the six-winged, thousand-eyed "Seraph"...
Humanity knelt and begged the gods for mercy, unaware that this wasn't the end, but the beginning.
Because ghosts are turning into humans.
And so the absurdity began...
The black-faced "Yawupo," cradling a shriveled infant corpse; the seven-eyed "Tusha," fishing from inside a dry well; the headless "Liu Woman," hanging from a tree; the shadowy "Badger," standing in the morgue and searching for skin...
An endless chorus of songs from an empty theater, an ancient mansion appearing out of nowhere, a deserted graveyard stretching for miles...
Everything is being turned upside down.
Literature, philosophy... not even science can explain any of it.
Some say this is the age of demons. But what is really happening?
The human world... has fallen into hell!
What will become of the Wild Ghosts? Will they wipe out humanity entirely, reach the pinnacle of sentience, and become a new kind of human? Or will their path to the ultimate be cut short, as humanity hunts them down and destroys them?
And what will become of humanity? Will it lie down and await its destruction, or keep fighting back until it grows powerful enough to become a ghost?
Humans and ghosts writhe in opposition, while life and death sink into silence as they merge.
And so begins the war between the "Wild Ghosts," who seek the pinnacle of sentience, and humanity, which strives to ensure the survival of its species.
At the end of this world’s destruction, will ghosts become human first, or will humans turn into ghosts?
