Out of Control, Falling Hard! The Younger Man Is Addicted to Her

“Older woman and younger man x six-year age gap x both virgins x unrequited love x a long-laid plan x mutual salvation”

Single-by-choice older sister x cool and scheming younger man

When Zhan Ning was twenty-four, she had just started her career and was so stressed that she went to her friend's pottery studio every night to play with clay. There she met He Yu, an eighteen-year-old who had just finished his college entrance exams and gone out to find work.

While Zhan Ning was shipping him with his pretty female classmate, she realized that things between the two of them weren't quite what she had imagined.

The girl wasn't as innocent and sweet as she seemed. And He Yu's gaze toward Zhan Ning was becoming increasingly strange.

Unwilling to get caught up in their push and pull, Zhan Ning decisively pulled away.

But He Yu blocked her way home.

The young man's gaze burned with passion as he poured out all his love on that midsummer night. Terrified, Zhan Ning left without a word and fled Jiangcheng in the middle of the night.

He Yu was eighteen. He could afford to be immature, but she couldn't...

Five years later, Zhan Ning had established herself in Jiangcheng and become a fairly well-known screenwriter in the city's short-drama industry.

Then He Yu appeared out of nowhere and became her boss.

Zhan Ning: He can't be holding a grudge and planning to fire me, can he?

While Zhan Ning spent every day with a calculator, frantically working out how much compensation He Yu would have to pay if he fired her, he had already quietly made his way into her life.

Zhan Ning: How did I end up with a marriage certificate before I got my compensation?

He Yu had been in love with someone for ten years. Through those long, arduous years, she was his only reason to keep going.

It took him ten years to reach her, but loving her would be a lifelong commitment.

Because her parents' marriage had failed, Zhan Ning didn't believe in love and resisted marriage. It wasn't until He Yu came along that she understood: somewhere in this world, there is someone who will come for you.
