The Iron Throne has fallen, and the Long Night is coming. Mo Yu, a transmigrator, arrives in Westeros with a mysterious System, only to become a shipwrecked sailor of unknown origins on the edge of the North. The blood of the Red Wedding has yet to dry, while the Others’ icy tide is already surging beyond the Wall.
Starting out at Winterfell’s smithy, setting traps in the Wolfswood, he raises his first Battanian warband and carves a path through the chaos with a sellsword’s blade. The surprise attack on Golden Tooth, the fiery rain over Lannisport, the schemes at Casterly Rock... The Iron Islands’ ships serve him, and the Westerlands’ gold mines become the foundation of his rule. As “Littlefinger” flays his way to power in the North, Cersei burns King’s Landing and claims the crown, and the Night’s Watch Lord Commander sends his final words from the Wall...
Mo Yu has been crowned Duke of the Westerlands, and now he sets his sights on the North.
This is no knightly epic passed down in song, but a cold game of power in which a warlord rises. Surrounded by plots and wielding an iron fist, he maneuvers carefully amid Cersei’s madness, the Tyrells’ scheming, Dorne’s vipers, and Stannis’s harshness. But the true enemy has never been in the south. When the shadows of the wardrobe swallow the moonlight and the army of the dead tramples across the snows, all of Westeros’s schemes and grudges must give way to survival beneath the Wall.
“They call me a usurper, a barbarian king, a wolf that takes advantage of the chaos.” Mo Yu ran a hand along his blade and gazed north into the endless blizzard. “Then let this wolf lead you. We either fight our way through the eternal winter, or we all end up frozen statues.”
The ultimate collision of rightful claim and ambition, and a fourth possibility in the age of ice and fire. See how the Battanian banners fight their way toward the highest throne in Westeros’s winter.
It's boring and nothing new.
Why is this good book not read by anyone?
It was okay before Chapter 15, but after the Bloody Wedding, it became a game where you spend money to attack soldiers.
It's not like traveling to Westeros, it's like traveling into a game. It's awkward to read.
Not bad, four stars, look at the back
Waste of time 🤮
