A Romantic Journey Through the Youth of a Student Returning to School in 1984

To write this long novel, I spent nearly thirty years honing my craft. During that time, I wrote over two million words of short fiction, essays, stories, and poems, all published in newspapers and magazines across the country. But I still lack confidence. I can write a thousand words and perhaps stray a thousand miles from the point, but I have to keep writing anyway. Because I still cherish this chapter of my life as a young literary aspirant. I cherish it because, during that time, I shared a romantic journey of youth with my female writer friends, especially my friend Xiao Mei.
