[A story of blood and flesh, steel and war]
War would finally end with the birth of a powerful man. An outsider arrived on the continent of Kaxi, and with sword and wit, brought an end to the age of warring lords.
He conquered every warlord’s territory and founded a mighty empire: the Gray Deer Empire.
But at what cost?
War was still war. For some, his conquest ushered in an age of honor. For others, it was an age of darkness and bloodshed.
After all, the wars he set in motion indirectly killed one-sixth of the continent’s population. It was no exaggeration to say that the Gray Deer Empire was forged from blood and flesh.
After unifying the continent, he scorned the gods and declared war on the religion that represented them. But this very act enraged the gods.
Not because that tyrant had slaughtered one-sixth of the continent’s population. Nor because he had gone to war with the religion.
It was because he had released the true demon imprisoned by the religion: the Undying Sovereign, founder of the Deathwheel Cult.
Divine retribution was at hand. The Son of God led his White Banner Knights to hunt down the tyrant, and in the end, the tyrant’s life came to a close in Baigang City.
At the moment of his death, the various territories declared independence. The Gray Deer Empire he had built with his own hands fell apart in an instant.
This was a dark chapter, but people in later generations would also know that it marked the beginning of the tyrant’s son’s rise to fame.
