[Farming + Alternate World + Naval Warfare + Conquest + War + No System + Big Guns and Battleships + S2 Season]
(Not recommended for readers who like fast-paced power fantasies.)
Liu Yao transmigrates to a parallel universe where land makes up 45% of the planet’s surface, and 98% of that land is connected.
The place he finds himself in is called Exile Island. It has been cut off from the world for nearly a century, and is overlooked by all six great empires.
It is now just after the end of S1, with the start of S2 just around the corner.
A former art student who failed his exams, he gains the ability to draw.
From machine tools and internal combustion engines to airplanes, battleships, and aircraft carriers, he can draw blueprints for them all.
“This ship displaces tens of thousands of tons, and you call it a fishing boat? What are those three huge round openings for?”
“For loading cargo, of course. When you catch that many fish, you can’t expect people to carry them into the hold by hand, can you?”
“What about the other one? Almost the entire ship is deck, with a slight upward curve. What’s that for?”
“Drying fish. Look, if you spread fish all over the deck, isn’t that a great use of space? We can even have a barbecue party now and then.”
“Hmm, that makes sense. You really know how to have fun. Remember to catch plenty of seafood. The Empire will remember your service.”
Years later…
A top-tier S2 player speaks up.
“What the hell? Why won’t you let our Han seafood unload?”
“Order the Fifth Fleet to fire a salvo at a hill within ten kilometers of the coast. Let them see what 305-millimeter shells look like.”
“They won’t accept negotiations? Then blockade the waters!”
The foreign ministries of various countries: “Let’s negotiate after all.”
(The shipbuilding pace in this novel is fairly slow. A warship is extremely complex and takes the combined might of an entire industrial base to build. There are no cheats here. Reality really is more outrageous than a power fantasy.)
