The Seven Strings Ring Softly

Also known as: Cultivating the Ruthless Dao, Seducing the Aloof Sword Cultivator

Also known as: The Good-for-Nothing System and Its Powerful Host

Tangyuan: [Host, why are we trying to seduce that sword cultivator, anyway?]

Cha Xi: “Because he's handsome, and I like what I see.”

Tangyuan: [...]

In the four realms of humans, demons, devils, and immortals,

Cha Xi is a nine-tailed fox demon in the demon realm.

A dream from another life: [One day, Cha Xi fell off a cliff and was rescued by a System. That System was none other than that useless Tangyuan.]

Tangyuan: [...?]

The Tangyuan System orders her to win over her “fated one,” Chi Qi, the leader of Buyehou, a sect that cultivates the Ruthless Dao.

Tangyuan also plants a love bug in Cha Xi, which flares up once a month.

So Cha Xi passes the trials and successfully joins Buyehou.

Later, she meets Xie Guanxue, a sword cultivator from Bujian Tian, and tries to seduce him.

Countless evil spirits exist across the four realms.

Ordinary evil spirits wander the world, but the ones raised by the demonic cultivator Xiao Jin can corrode a person's soul and merge with it, intensifying the desires in their heart until they fall to the demonic path and harm the innocent.

Since the evil spirits have already merged with their hosts' souls, the only way to kill them is to make them vanish, body and soul.

When the seven strings return to their places, the soul vanishes, body and soul.

After Cha Xi dies,

The aloof sword cultivator chokes back a sob: “Didn't you say you liked me? Didn't you say you'd stay with me forever?”

The brokenhearted master loses control: “I was wrong. Please come back.”

The gentle senior brother is heartbroken: “Junior sister, I love you...”

The gentle senior brother from another sect: “Impossible. You can't be dead...”

Tangyuan: [This story is packed with a love-triangle battlefield, the ultimate groveling redemption arc, and lighthearted comedy.]
