The protagonist, “I,” is a wanderer who accidentally stumbled into this place. As soon as I arrive in the Backrooms, I hit the jackpot and end up in Level 598, followed by a series of high-difficulty levels.

Corruption within the M.E.G. causes the organization to split. Qin Chuan, head of the Incendiary Department, leads his four squads in a resolute departure from the M.E.G. and establishes a rival organization: “Storm” (W.R.S.), short for “Washing Rainstorm.”
The storm will eventually rebuild everything. However, other departments that are also hostile to the M.E.G. don’t agree with Qin Chuan’s methods, so they oppose him as well.
Song Xuan is a member of Qin Chuan’s Incendiary Department. He is away on a mission and doesn’t go with them. Instead, an accident leads him to join the Eye of Argos.
