Chasing the White Moonlight

Second Male Lead Takes the Spotlight + Long-Laid Plans + Love Grows Over Time + Unrequited Love Comes True

At Longcheng High, Shen Zhiyi's outstanding grades make her the target of jealousy and bullying from a schoolmate, He Jiaojiao. At her parents' insistence, she transfers to Haian High, hoping to make a fresh start in a new environment.

When Shen Zhiyi arrives at Haian High, she hears about Gu Yuze, a terrible student who gives the teachers endless headaches. He skips class, sleeps through lessons, and sometimes even gets into arguments with teachers. The rumors fill Shen Zhiyi with dread.

As time passes, however, Shen Zhiyi gradually realizes that Gu Yuze isn't nearly as bad as people say.

After spending some time together, she starts to like him and secretly falls for him. She plans to confess after graduation, but a series of events make her realize that Gu Yuze is never short of girls around him. Her heart sinks, and in the end, she tells him how she feels. When Gu Yuze finds out, he is heartbroken, but he doesn't keep pursuing her.

Lu Jingchuan, the second male lead, appears to be a free-spirited troublemaker, but he's actually sensitive and perceptive.

He noticed Shen Zhiyi long ago and was drawn to her resilience and exceptional intelligence.

Knowing that she still struggles with the shadows of her past, he decides to stay by her side in silence. With his quiet companionship, Shen Zhiyi gradually develops feelings for him.

Years later, Lu Jingchuan sits on the balcony with Shen Zhiyi in his arms as they bask in the sun.

Lu Jingchuan: “The person I'm secretly in love with is Lu Jingchuan.”

Shen Zhiyi: “Why are you copying me?”

Lu Jingchuan: “Because I think it's fun.”
