Spring in the Twelfth Year

[Campus romance + unrequited love + love that cannot be returned + bittersweet angst] Gu Nanxuan and Lu Jin met in their first year of high school. By chance, they became deskmates. Gu Nanxuan was sunny and outgoing, and he and Lu Jin got along well. Their relationship gradually grew closer, and they promised to attend the same university. But fate was unfair. A sudden turn of events forced them apart. Gu Nanxuan did everything he could to make her stay, but Lu Jin could only think that they were never meant to be. When they met again seven years later, the boy she remembered was just as he had been back then, longing for a chance to start over. Lu Jin only hoped he could move past his troubles and begin a new life. She said, “May you get everything you wish for and live without a care.” He said, “As your friend, I wish you peace and happiness every year.”
