The first volume is a fragmented arrangement of articles collected by "Zongheng" since 1983, and brings together wonderful articles that reflect the development of our country's culture and pass on the fire from generation to generation. "Under the Screen" mainly collects a series of classic movies shot after the founding of the People's Republic of China and the real historical stories behind the scenes.

This book helped me understand a lot of the stories behind movies. Changying is really the cradle of new Chinese movies! I especially like the patriotic staff mentioned in the book such as Zhang Xinshi, Wang Qimin, and Liu Xueyao. They stopped the Japanese army's conspiracy to destroy evidence and left us with a lot of precious information. As the book says: "The Japanese army once attempted to destroy the entire factory by burning a large amount of film and causing a fire." Their courage and wisdom are admirable!
