Lin Danyu was a modern-day office drone in her twenties. She died in an accident and woke after transmigrating into a book, inhabiting someone else’s body as the Lin family’s second daughter.
At eighteen, she and her older sister Lin Daiyu were sent by their father to the Rongguo Mansion in the capital.
After Jia Yuanchun was honored as an imperial consort, she moved into the Grand View Garden with Baoyu, Baochai, Tanchun, and the other young women.
She opens a cosmetics shop, buys estates, drives out ghosts, gets married, saves Lin Daiyu, and becomes a legendary woman in Dream of the Red Chamber.
Taking concubines?
Fighting for favor?
Jealousy?
None of that is happening on her watch.
All she cares about is making money, so she can change the tragic fates of the women in Dream of the Red Chamber.
