For revenge, Ye Weixiang transforms herself and marries Gu Yuanting under the terms of a contract.
She thinks theirs is simply a transaction, with money changing hands and nothing more.
Little does she know that it is all part of a scheme built on deception and intrigue,
and that she is the ultimate target of his revenge.
Unable to love, yet unable to let go,
she tears up the contract and demands a divorce.
He sneers, “You’ll never escape me in this lifetime.”
Only then does Ye Weixiang realize that from the very beginning, she had stepped into the web he had woven.
Like a butterfly stuck in a spider’s web, she will never escape.
