Interstellar Calligraphy Teacher

Yun Lan teaches hard-pen calligraphy at a calligraphy club. Just three days into the job, she was reported for conspiring with a stationery shop owner to force students to buy a particular brand of pencils at the designated store, earning a cut of the profits. Her protestations fell on deaf ears, and the club fired her. Fresh out of college and already unemployed, Yun Lan angrily stayed up all night fighting back online. Before she could glimpse victory, her vision went dark, and she died suddenly at her computer.

Yun Lan woke up in the interstellar era. In this world, written characters could grant people power. As a calligraphy teacher, she thought her career prospects looked bright.

But could someone explain why, in the eyes of the people of this era, her calligraphy was worse than a three-year-old's chicken-scratch? Why did those crooked characters jump up, land on top of hers, and splash two drops of suspicious yellow liquid on them? What an insult! Yun Lan swore she wouldn't rest until she got revenge!
