The Happy Ghost’s Travelogue

Ke'er is a carefree, cheerful ghost who has forgotten every scrap of her former life. Each day, she just nibbles on candied fruit, reads little storybooks, and chats with the young Buddha when she has nothing else to do. She really is a carefree little immortal! She may be perfectly content, but do you think she doesn't want to be reincarnated and live again? Not at all. She doesn't know why, but everything of hers on the Mirror of Karma is a blur, and all she can make out is the faint sound of a wooden fish being struck. She saw all the greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, doubt, and wickedness in people, and witnessed every kind of life, love, hate, and tangled passion. The longer she traveled with the young Buddha, the less she understood. Was she really herself, that carefree, cheerful little ghost, Ke'er? Was he really himself, that forgiving young Buddha? And what did all the people they met along the way have to do with her and him? ...
