Qin Qiong in the Late Sui Dynasty and Early Tang Dynasty

He was a famous general in the late Sui and early Tang Dynasties and one of the twenty-four heroes of Lingyan Pavilion. He first served in the Sui Dynasty and served under generals such as Lai Hu'er, Zhang Xutuo, and Pei Renji. He was famous throughout the country for his bravery. Later, he followed Pei Renji and defected to Li Mi, the leader of the Wagang Army. After the defeat of the Wagang Army, he turned to Wang Shichong. Soon, Qin Qiong, Cheng Yaojin and others submitted to the Li Yuan family of the Tang Dynasty. After joining the Tang Dynasty, Qin Qiong accompanied Li Shimin to fight everywhere. After the Tang Dynasty unified the country, Qin Qiong suffered from a long-term illness and finally passed away in the twelfth year of Zhenguan (638). During his lifetime, he was worshiped as General Zuo Wuwei and Duke Feng Yi. After his death, he was posthumously awarded the title of Governor of Xuzhou and Duke Hu, and was given the posthumous title of "Zhuang".
