The Tale of Hanba in the Wilds of Shan Hai

Set against the world of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, this is the love story of Hanba (Bai Mei/Xuanyuan Ba) and the God of War Yinglong (the Divine Dragon).

Bai Mei, the holy maiden of the Chimei Tribe, was already betrothed to Guizhen, prince of the Wangliang Tribe,

but she had long since fallen for the Xuanyuan general known as the "God of War," Yinglong, a celestial god. They fell in love and struggled to stay together.

Later, Xuanyuan Ba was possessed by the soul of Hou and became Hanba, the Corpse Ancestor. Wherever she went, the land lay scorched for a thousand li, leaving the people in misery.

To protect the people of the world, Xuanyuan Ba ultimately decided to seal Hou within her own body, battling it in a tangled struggle of love and hate.

Later, the birth of her daughter, "Bai Lin," gradually eased their relationship.

Xuanyuan Ba's brother Xuanyao cared deeply for her and helped her overcome hardships time and again.

Houching and Yingou became Corpse Ancestors after being possessed by Hou's soul. Shenmu became the Corpse Ancestor Jiangchen through Hou's blood essence. All four Corpse Ancestors gathered in the Underworld Sea of the Yellow Springs.

Later storylines weave in the Redwater Maiden Xian, the severing of the connection between Heaven and Earth, the war between divine kingdoms, and more.

This story offers thoughtful portrayals of love, father-daughter bonds, sibling bonds, and mother-daughter bonds, while also featuring the wondrous flowers and plants, and rare birds and beasts of the Classic of Mountains and Seas. Stay tuned!
