The Bell Tolls for the Living

(Zombie novel, no powers, no system, no Virgin, slow pace, hardcore apocalypse) One night before the Chinese New Year, Li Minghao, who was working the night shift at the Public Security Bureau, received an alarm call. When he rushed to the scene, he found the caller who had died tragically and the assailant who was behaving strangely. He is eager to save people, but is regarded as a scapegoat by his boss; the dead are resurrected, colleagues are killed, who is secretly fueling all this; staying at the hospital at night, but encounters a female nurse of unknown origin, is this a coincidence or a conspiracy; zombies break out and he is trapped in the ward, where should he go? (The pace in the early stage is relatively slow, but it is all to explain the origin of the story)
