Synopsis

"Herbs" played a huge role in the inheritance of ancient Chinese medicine. The content includes general Fu (including four Fus of cold, heat, warm and flat); invention of medicines (general discussion on how to use medicines); indications of main treatments (memorizing the functions and indications of 90 commonly used medicines); instructions for use of medicine: Materia Medica (the properties, taste, functions and indications of the main medicines in 9 parts, including jade, grass, wood, humans, animals, insects and fish, fruits, rice and vegetables, are compiled into poems for easy recitation). As a traditional Chinese medicine work with rhymes and formulas, "Medicinal Fu" has been widely circulated. It has been promoted as one of the "Four Little Classics of Traditional Chinese Medicine" in modern times. As an enlightenment textbook for medical education, only the "General Fu" part is often selected. In contemporary times, only the "General Fu" part is often compiled and published. The editor believes that the "Zhenzhu Sang Supplement to the Medicinal Properties" has been finalized in the Qing Dynasty, and there is no need to artificially divide it, so the current version of the "Zhenzhu Sang Supplement to the Medicinal Properties" is still used for revision.
