Kill Whoever Stands in My Way, Mortal or God: The Princess Consort Can Speak to Spirits

Yun Jinqi, a Daoist disciple from the Age of Declining Dharma, transmigrates and becomes the eldest daughter of the Dingyuan Marquis's household in Xiling. Prince Lie, Qin Yuxiao, is a great general who guards the western frontier. At the age of five, his fate was altered and his fortune stolen. After his birth mother called him an ill-omened, accursed loner, she cast him into the military camp to fend for himself. They first meet in the outskirts of the capital, where he saves her from danger, clad in armor and armed with bow and blade. When the walking corpses run amok, she performs ritual steps, draws talismans, chants spells, and calls down heavenly thunder. He thinks she is merely the younger sister of a friend and the daughter of a loyal minister. As it turns out, the seemingly delicate young lady understands yin and yang, reads feng shui, and is a spiritual medium. When he learns she has been framed, he flies into a rage and helps her take revenge. When he learns someone has designs on her, he lays a trap to help her break off her engagement. At the time, strange cases keep breaking out in Xiling's capital. “The Missing Girls Case,” “The White Duck Butchery,” “The Burning Ghost Mound,” “The Red Performer’s Soul,” “The Abandoned Infant Pagoda”... On the surface, one uses imperial authority to seek justice for the living, investigate the court, and clear wrongful convictions, while the other draws on her status as a spiritual medium to soothe the grievances of those who died unjustly and track down the whereabouts of magical artifacts. But neither realizes that as the investigation deepens, the truth behind Qin Yuxiao's stolen fortune and the secrets of the Dingyuan Marquis's battle at Mount Mang two years earlier are slowly coming to light.
