Island of Dr Moreau

Prendick, a young British man, was rescued from a shipwreck and came to a small island where he met the mysterious Dr. Moreau. The doctor turned out to be a scientist and surgeon. He was expelled from the London academic community because of cruel vivisection animal experiments. He came to this desert island to continue his crazy experiments. Dr. Moreau regards himself as a creator and uses organ transplantation and other methods to transform animals, turning them into orcs that can walk upright. In addition to modifying the physiology of the orcs, the doctor also attempted to shape their psychology, using brainwashing and severe punishment to force the orcs to learn human behavior and even teach them to speak! However, human nature and animal nature are often just a matter of thoughts! Dr. Moreau's high-pressure rule eventually got him into trouble. Although Prendick returned to human society after surviving the disaster, he still could not believe that the men and women he met were not orcs or animals partially modified to imitate the external expression of human souls. He always felt as if a wild beast would jump out from among them...
