(Main couple: Qian Tu and Wu Liang; side couple: Tian Furu and Wei Donghai)
(Rebirth + rich patron's kept canary + male lead can hear the female lead's thoughts + pretending to be a delicate white lotus + actually a scheming green tea drama queen + putting on an act of deep devotion + mutual probing + intense push and pull)
Qian Tu, a college student drowning in debt, looks just like the male lead's first love. After a greasy boss sets her up, she ends up as the kept canary of Gu Huaijin, a powerful figure in the capital. Spoiled by his favor, she acts recklessly and stubbornly, repeatedly embarrassing herself in high society. After offending Gu Huaijing's first love, he has her sealed into a gap in the wall with cement, right in front of that woman.
She pretends to be weak and virtuous, puts her acting skills to the test to feign deep devotion, and breaks out of a desperate situation. While hiding behind a secret identity and throwing herself into her career, the female lead uses herself as bait and plots one step at a time to start over. Qian Tu declares: "I'm going to stir up your whole circle until it's a complete mess, then kick the hell out of CEO Gu!"
Much later, when Qian Tu holds irrefutable evidence and helps the second male lead sue Gu Huaijing over his many crimes,
Gu Huaijing looks at Qian Tu in her lawyer's suit, smiling: "I love you so much, and all you want is to send me to prison. I love you even more."
Qian Tu: ...
This is a game we're winning for sure. Justice will prevail!!!
