The Villainous Consort: A Concubine-Born Daughter Rises to Power

[Content warning: fictional setting, purely villainous heroine, clear-headed and not ruled by romance, pure palace intrigue, and the heroine will never fall in love with the emperor]

When Zhou Queyi was eight, she saw with her own eyes as the First Madam beat her father's concubine to death. Her father did nothing.

When the emperor held a selection, her elder legitimate sister entered the palace, while Zhou Queyi was to be married off as a merchant's concubine.

If she had to be a concubine, then she would be the concubine of the most powerful man in the realm.

Killing her elder sister and imprisoning her legitimate mother were only appetizers. She would claim the highest seat and kill every last member of the Zhou household.

Zhou Queyi's rules for palace intrigue: If anyone poses a threat, kill! Kill! Kill! After all, there's only one seat for the Empress Dowager.

Who cares if they're innocent? Just kill them.

She would make sure that every emperor to come bore her bloodline, the blood of a concubine's daughter!
