A story of fleeing famine, with no System. The heroine uses modern knowledge to solve the problem of finding her first meal, then sustains herself through warfare, helping the distinguished Tian clan build an empire. She shares a deep bond with Tian Chang, the eldest son of the Tian family, while the second son, Tian Xing, falls in love with her.
However, as the eldest sister, the heroine gives up on marriage so she can raise her younger siblings to adulthood. She decides to spend her whole life disguised as a man. Tian Chang always believes she is male and treats her as his dear friend, Brother Li. The relationship between Tian Xing and the heroine is full of ups and downs, and just as they finally fall in love, disaster strikes.
[War + farming + raising children + alternate history + no System + equal parts sweet and angsty] The war scenes are somewhat realistic. This is not a power-fantasy epic, so please keep that in mind before reading.
I’m not great at writing blurbs, so please bear with me. It’s not easy being a new writer. Please add the book to your library, leave a review, rate it, and let me know you’ve been here!
