Reborn, I Took On the Cool and Aloof One

Everyone praised my elder sister for being as aloof as a chrysanthemum, never fighting or competing. But I discovered that she loved saying the opposite of what she meant.

She said, "The Crown Prince and I are like brothers. How could I become his Crown Princess?"

Yet she was the one who married into the Eastern Palace in a blaze of glory, while I failed the palace selection and became a laughingstock.

She said, "You love the Third Prince. Why not enter the palace as my maid? I'll find a chance to mention it to His Majesty."

Yet after five years of serving her loyally, she assigned me to a butcher in town.

The butcher worked hard every day, and I had to kowtow to beg for medicine.

She said, "I've seen how you pretend to be poor and charm His Majesty. What hardship could you possibly have suffered?"

After I was pierced through the heart by ten thousand arrows, my spirit watched her give the sachet I had embroidered to the imperial physician, Gu Yi'an.

When I opened my eyes again, I had returned to the day she turned down the palace selection.
