Sci-fi + romance + realism
Not a wish-fulfillment story, not a domineering CEO romance, and not about being reborn
Love, logic, life, and death
If time were a straight line, then bending that line into a circle would allow us to leap through time and space at the point where the line touches the circle.
And then someone really did bend time.
“So in my timeline, you died, and in yours, I died, but somehow we’ve met here!”
“No, this wasn’t just some chance encounter. I went through every hardship imaginable to find you here!”
If we could travel back to the past, could we make up for the regrets in our lives?
And what would it cost?
Inspired by the sci-fi film Predestination.
There’s a line in the film: “If I could bring that man before you, the man who ruined your life, and guarantee you wouldn’t be held responsible, would you kill him?”
The same question could be asked of this story’s heroine. But she doesn’t need to answer, because the hero has already answered for her.
