Cheng Yao was the first ancient god of the primordial era, the first being in the world after the heavens and earth were formed. She had lived alone for tens of thousands of years when she met a pair of twin brothers, and the three of them stayed together, keeping each other company.
Who could have known that a sudden upheaval would tear them apart, turning a friend against her and driving him into demonic corruption? The innocent, carefree look in her eyes became cold and languid. Resentment, helplessness, and guilt filled her heart. Gradually, she understood the will of Heaven. She followed its dictates and created the Five Realms, completing the laws of Heaven. She also came to understand the purpose of her existence.
She had thought her sealed heart would never stir again, but fate had other plans: she met him.
“Yaoyao, you’ve worked hard.”
“Yaoyao, I’m here.”
“Yaoyao, I love you.”
Seeing her own reflection in the eyes of the man before her and feeling her long-silent heart beat again, she finally understood: without realizing it, he had already made his way into her heart.
Just as she let down her guard and accepted him, she discovered that the events of a hundred thousand years ago were beginning to repeat themselves.
Looking at the ten tails behind her, she understood why she had been born with ten tails, and what the ten colors of those tails meant.
She looked at the Five Realms she had created with her own hands, then at the man before her, and remembered how it had all ended before.
What should she choose?
