Phantom Shadows of the Underworld

[Ancient Taoist Priest] [Cultivation and Ghost Hunting]

[Wuxia Intrigue] [Power Struggles at Court]

A coming-of-age story, slow-paced, with an expansive plot.

☯ A friendly heads-up:

No wild flights of fancy, no System, not reborn,

no transmigration, no harem, not a power fantasy.

☯

Main plot: The protagonist is ostracized by the gods and sent down to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations. There, he subdues demons and cultivates immortality, defeats the Onmyoji of Fusang, wipes out the evil Youluo Sect, repels the invading Tuyuhun army, and finally returns to the divine realm, defying the natural order.

Side plot 1: Masters from various sects compete for fame and profit, plotting and scheming against one another.

Side plot 2: The powerful at court deceive and outmaneuver one another as they vie for power and wealth.

Side stories: The protagonist and demon-subduing masters hunt ghosts, dispel evil spirits, and vanquish monsters and demons.

Banished to the mortal realm, I’ll get to work and hunt down demons and ghosts!

As tiny as dust, you and I drift with the wind, wandering the world.
