Scheming Day and Night

[A mature, cold, austere man in power × a mixed-race heiress from a wealthy family] [He’s been plotting for a long time; she falls for him over time; 10-year age gap] Huo Congli was born into wealth and privilege. Cold, austere, self-disciplined, and bound by propriety. Tao Jiaxi was just as well-born, but people whispered that her reputation was notorious and that she had stolen her cousin’s match. They named names and made it sound as if they knew it for a fact. As the person involved, she didn’t care. After all, in a way, she really had done something like that. Then she saw the usually quiet man, who never stooped to quarrelling, coldly toss out a remark. “Let me correct you. Her connection with Huo Yunchuan is purely financial.” At those words, the whole room fell silent. He added, “I’m the one who introduced them. If you want to verify it, come to me.” Who would dare go to him? At the time, all she thought was that he was telling the truth. She decided he was a friend worth having. Until one day. On a whim, she drank too much and got drunk. When she woke up, her memories came flooding back. She remembered cradling the man’s handsome face while drunk, staring at him, groping his abs, and getting threatened in a hoarse voice that he’d spank her. Only then did she realize that something seemed a little off between them. How exciting!
