Thousands of years ago, the Demon Realm invaded the continent of Mafa, and its people began a struggle that would last a thousand years.
Sadly, the guardian dragon of the Mafa Empire was killed after failing to defeat the invaders. Only the remnants of its dragon soul escaped.
Seeing this, the dragon soul opened a dimensional portal and brought the humans of Xilan to the continent, hoping to turn the tide. But the people of Xilan were instead led astray by the Demon God, draining the dragon soul of its power.
Seizing the opportunity, the Demon Realm launched its final war. Every city on the continent was destroyed, and its people suffered terribly.
The people of Mafa were left to cling to a corner of the continent, barely surviving on what little fortune remained to them.
Now, a new wave of arrivals has come to the people of Mafa!
