Finding Joy in You

[Sensitive, Obsessive Teacher Heroine VS Cold, Slow-to-Warm Undercover Hero]

“How bitter. So this is what a kiss tastes like.”

“I knew I was the one who liked you, so I did everything I could to get close to you. I could ignore your coldness any number of times, as long as I still liked you.”

“By the shore, a boat waits where the water flows; at the riverbank, I long to turn back and cross.”

At twenty-six, Lin Luoting unexpectedly met Jiang Shangzhou, the man she'd loved since she was sixteen. This time, seeing Jiang Shangzhou fading into obscurity, she decided to make the first move.

Lin Luoting fell for Jiang Shangzhou the first time she saw him, when she was sixteen. In her eyes, this radiant young man was the love of her life.

She had carefully prepared her confession, but an accident forced her to bury it deep in her heart.

“I loved you once, and perhaps that love

has not entirely died within my heart.

I hope it will trouble you no more;

I have no wish to make you sad again.

I loved you silently, without hope,

enduring both shyness and the torment of jealousy.

I loved you so sincerely, so tenderly,

may God grant that another love you as I did.”

Alexander Pushkin

Was their reunion after so many years arranged by fate, or a curse of misfortune?

Also known as “An Unexpected Wait”

Lin Luoting: A little neurotic, extraordinarily independent, aloof, and obsessive (stubborn).

Jiang Shangzhou: Proud in the beginning (or perhaps a little conceited), then quiet and reserved later on.
