Qu Jun is a high school student and a poor student, but he's a history whiz. He gets nearly perfect scores in history, and he's also good at video games, especially strategy games about warfare. One day, he was reading a history book in class when his teacher caught him and forcibly confiscated it. He struggled to get it back, and in the tug-of-war between them, the book tore and emitted a flash of golden light that transported Qu Jun to an ancient world.
Qu Jun was thrilled to arrive in the ancient world, believing he could finally put his historical knowledge to good use. But things didn't go as planned. He faced a host of difficulties: treacherous ministers held power, the harem meddled in politics, peasants revolted, and enemy states invaded. Yet none of these challenges were much of a problem for him, thanks to his modern and historical knowledge. Under his leadership, his dynasty rose to become the world's greatest power.
