"Wen Xin" is an enlightenment book written by Ye Shengtao and Xia Chuzun to explain Chinese knowledge in the form of stories.
There are thirty-two articles in total, each chapter has a theme, such as letter writing, recitation skills, and the use of rhetoric... Through the lives of several middle school students Lehua, Dawen and others, they are connected in series, so that Chinese knowledge can be extended and diffused in different scenes. There are also interspersed interactions with current social events, sublimating the explanation of writing skills into the excavation and promotion of the spirit behind the words.
Mr. Chen Wangdao and Mr. Zhu Ziqing wrote a preface to "Wenxin" to commend the value and significance of the book. Mr. Chen said that the characteristic of this book is that it "integrates abstract knowledge about Chinese language with concrete things that young people can encounter every day." Mr. Zhu said that "the book integrates reading and practice... Not only gives guidance on methods, but also focuses on training." It also "integrates teaching. Only through cordial cooperation between teachers and students can the purpose of teaching be achieved."

"Wen Xin" is a very interesting book. It uses stories to tell Chinese knowledge and is not boring at all. I especially like several middle school students in the book. Their lives are so rich, and they can experience life while studying. Moreover, the book is also interspersed with current social events, which allowed me to learn a lot of writing skills and understand the spirit behind the words. I think this book is very helpful for my Chinese learning!
