The Metaphysics Master Is a Rebel at Heart and Just Wants to Eat, Drink, and Wait for Death

Lan Zhi entered a Taoist temple at the age of three. At ten, her master kicked her down the mountain to save her whole family. Before leaving, she took Jingang, the temple's most prized treasure. Her younger brother is plagued by bad luck: a trinket he bought on a whim turns out to be a human-skin drum. Luckily, a little mussel spirit protects him, and a handsome monk lays the spirit to rest!

Later, while gathering herbs on Mount Ling, she encounters a mountain demon and rescues the governor's son. This windfall of wealth has finally landed in her lap!

The governor's son: "Stick with me, and I'll make sure you eat well and live in luxury!"

The eminent monk: "Focus on fighting monsters and leveling up. Leave the exorcisms to me!"
